Liz & Joe / Wedding / Debary, FL

Ceremony: Home Wedding in Debary, FL
Reception: Home Wedding in Debary, FL

Well, Lauren and I shot our first wedding of 2009 and we had a blast.  You may remember this couple from an engagement session we did at the end of last year.  Liz and Joe are such a cute couple and it was amazing to see so much emotion.  Its great when you see a man cry at the first sight of his beautiful bride and Joe did just that.  Here are some of our favs from the wedding.

Liz fought back the tears almost the whole time she was getting her hair and make-up done.

This is probably one of my favorite shots from the day and it was captured by my beautiful wife! This is why we make such a great photography team!

Another one of my favs…again, captured by Lauren.

She has such a beautiful smile!!!  I love the natural light that was seeping through the trees behind her!

Liz and her two sisters.  Such a sweet and fun family!

Remember the tears I spoke about when Joe first seen his beautiful bride?

Loving the new Macro Lens!!!  Beautiful rings!

Lauren, how come you got all the great shots??? :) Love you babe!

And finally, Lauren snapped this shot of me in action early on.

And how can we not have a picture of the wife?

5D Mark II … My Thoughts

Well I have had the 5D Mark II now for a couple of weeks. I have shot it against both my Nikon D3 and Canon 5D and the ISO performance is just amazing!  Its very sharp, the files (as I said) are huge, the colors are very true and best of all, its so darn comfy to shoot! *well I guess that isn’t best of all but it is nice.

After running some AF tests on it with a 70-200 2.8L IS lens vs the D3 with the 70-200 2.8 VR, I can say without a doubt that in low-light, shooting identical setting, using as close to the same AF settings as possible (using the best options on both), the Canon is the winner. I would have never thought this would have been true.  It might be the lens…Canon’s may just be a faster lens.

The Canon locks without hesitation. I took the camera outside to test its accuracy on flying ducks and it did quite well.  Its not a wildlife camera, nor a sports camera but it didn’t seem to have any troubles locking on.

I ordered and received the battery grip for it which is quite nice.  It reminds me of all other Canon grips I have used and as always, I really like them.  I am not a fan of the grip on the Nikon D300 but I got used to it.

Well here is a shot of my new baby…with Grip…70-200 2.8L IS and E1 Hand Strap.

Enjoy!
